In celebration of Autism Awareness Month 2017, Planet Bounce (Nottingham) have appointed Autism East Midlands as their Charity of the Year 2017. The popular trampoline park found in The Glasshouse, on Huntingdon Street in Nottingham city centre have set a fundraising target of £1000 to reach through a mix of varied fundraising and bucket collection based activities.
Opening in 2015 Planet Bounce was one of the first of its kind to launch in the UK. Planet Bounce offers jumpers a galactic bouncing adventure, and no wonder it’s one of the city’s most popular attractions! With 70 trampolines on site, a spring-loaded dodge ball arena, 3 full sizes basketball lanes, extra-long tumble lanes and a relaxing refuel café area it really offers something for everyone who loves to bounce!
As part of the adoption of Autism East Midlands as their chosen charity of the year, our training team are discussing Autism Awareness staff training and further opportunities, and our Play / Leisure services lead are planning trips to Planet Bounce as part of their summer and youth club programmes.
Samantha Salsbury, Planet Bounce Digital Marketing Executive, adds:
We made the choice to support a local charity to strengthen our bonds with our local community and families who can benefit from our facilities. We hope to provide a brilliant service for those with additional needs whilst we work with Autism East Midlands over time. We are excited to develop our relationship and look forward to raising awareness and funds for this brilliant local charity.
Christine Saxon, Executive Assistant, Autism East Midlands adds,
