Every year Virtual Runner raises £1,000’s for selected charities through their virtual races. When you race with Virtual Runner, a minimum of 20% of your fee goes to good causes.  We are delighted that Autism East Midlands has been chosen by the local community as the charity of choice for the Bricktastic October Medal Challenge.

Spaces for the popular Bricktastic October Challenge sold out within 3 hours of its launch and has already raised £500 for Autism East Midlands. For the Bricktastic October Challenge participants can run, walk or cycle as many km during the last two weeks of October to earn their very own Bricktastic medal (pictured above). Submissions proving runner’s distances are required by 1st November for participants to claim their medal. They must achieve a minimum of 5k across the fortnight (not necessarily done in one go) to earn their medal, a minimum of 20% odf money raised will be donated to Autism East Midlands.

Susan Wheatcroft from Wollaton, Nottingham is the creator of Virtual Runner. Susan had been running for 4 years when the idea for this venture came from her frustration of not being able to find a race in January close to home which worked around her busy work and home life – so she took to organising virtual races with money going to charity.

Autism East Midlands would like to take this opportunity to thank Susan and all of the Virtual Runner participants in the Bricktastic October Medal Challenge for supporting us and wish them well in completing their distances!
