Support Autism East Midlands by tackling this incredible 300 mile cycling event from London through the rolling English countryside and then rural France before finishing at the Eiffel Tower. The event will be run by Skyline Events, who have a wealth of experience in organising the London to Paris Bike Ride.

Autism East Midlands has reserved 6 places on this incredible event. Each of these places requires a £99 registration fee. In order to confirm your place on the ride from London to Paris you must pay the registration fee and then raise £1240 by 5th July 2017.

Autism East Midlands asks that a target of £2000 is to be raised by each individual participating on behalf of Autism East Midlands. You have until 1 month after the event to raise this target. Out of the funds you raise £780 will cover the costs for the event. The rest raised will come to Autism East Midlands and be used to help support children and adults with autism across the East Midlands.

Why support us…

Imagine a world where you have difficulty in interpreting verbal and non-verbal language, where you find it hard to recognise or understand people’s feelings and find it hard to express your own. A world that needs routine, where you are scared of change; where your senses could be over or under sensitive and where you have great difficulty in processing information. All those affected by autism have differing levels of difficulty in: communication, social relationships, processing and sensory sensitivity.

1 in 100 people in the UK are affected by Autism, which is a lifelong condition. There is no cure for autism, however with the right structured support, education and care, much can be done to support children and adults with autism to live as full and independent a life as possible.

During 2016, Autism East Midlands delivered autism awareness training to around 1000 people in over 65 organisations. We have consolidated 5 individual schools into a single large purpose built site in Bath Street, Nottingham. We have opened five drop-in family support hubs and we have also managed over 1,300 overnight stays for children and young people to give families short respite assistance. To enable the above we need constant fund raising support.
