Autism East Midlands are delighted to have been able to support the forthcoming ‘Dinosaurs of China’ exhibition with autism awareness staff training. The world-renowned exhibition is due to open this weekend at Wollaton Hall in Nottinghamshire and on the lead up the opening our senior training team have supported the exhibition and staff with autism awareness training.

Linda Wakeham, our Learning & Development Lead adds:

Autism East Midlands were extremely excited by the contact with Nottingham City Museum and Galleries who requested autism awareness training support for the amazing ‘Dinosaurs of China’ exhibition. We are very passionate about sharing knowledge and expertise especially in the promotion of this ‘access for all’ event. We are grateful to Nottingham City Museums and Galleries for introducing ‘relaxed exhibition viewing times’ therefore offering an environment that is conducive to adults and children with autism. Autism East Midlands have provided autism training to the exhibition staff and a walkthrough of the exhibition prior to the launch which will help to achieve an autism friendly event.

Autism friendly exhibition sessions will be held as follows:
  • Friday 21st July 4-5pm
  • Monday 7th August 10-11am
