Runners in Nottingham have the opportunity to set their pace or challenge last years’ time and compete in the East Midlands 10k run on Sunday 25th February 2018, when the event returns for its second year and proudly announces its support of Autism East Midlands, as its chosen charity partner.
Based at the National Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont (just 10 minutes away from Nottingham city centre) the course is mapped out and entries are flooding in already for this successful event. Organised by Ultimate Fitness Experience, creators of the Mercedes Benz Shrewsbury 10k, the race is suitable for all runners from elite to first time competitors, with professional timing, bespoke medals and T-shirts for all competitors.
Race organiser, Simon Macdonald explains:
Following the success of the first East Midlands 10k in March this year we are delighted to return in 2018. Nottingham has a fantastic base of runners and athletes who enjoyed the event despite the driving rain they were faced with on the day. We are also very proud to be working with Autism East Midlands in 2018 to support and promote their charity and the great work that they do locally and beyond. Any runners wishing to run for the charity can get in touch with them directly via email to claim a place and receive a runner’s pack and sponsor details. They will also have a presence on the day so look out for them!
Jack Knight of Autism East Midlands adds:
We are extremely grateful and delighted to be supported by the East Midlands 10K during our 50th celebratory year! The support from the East Midlands 10K will help raise awareness about the work that we do in supporting individuals and their families who are affected by autism. We wish all those participating in the 2018 East Midlands 10K the best of luck!
