Poplars residents celebrate solar eclipse

A rare solar eclipse sighting took place, where many across Europe and the UK witnessed the spectacle of the moon obscuring the sun for the first time since 1999.

It is not advised to look directly at a solar eclipse without either witnessing it indirectly, such as through a slot on a piece of paper, or with proper eye protection, known as solar eclipse glasses.

Fortunately, our Poplars team were able to get hold of a pair of solar eclipse glasses, allowing our residents to witness this incredible marvel as it shadowed the sky.
