Liam, who attends our Mundy Street Day Service in Heanor, embraced some new skills and a new volunteer role during a recent visit to Infinite Wellbeing Community Café.
With support from the amazing café staff, Liam had the chance to learn how to use the till and take a card payment from a customer.
He embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm and did an incredible job.
Watching Liam step outside of his comfort zone, learn a new skill, and grow in confidence was a wonderful moment for everyone.
His support workers were absolutely bursting with pride as they watched him succeed and embrace this fantastic opportunity to continue developing his skills, confidence, and independence in a real-life setting.
As a result of his hard work and positive attitude, Liam has now been invited to volunteer when he attends the café.
Well done, Liam! We can't wait to see you shine in your new role.
