Kitchen Assistant (Nottingham)

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our Specialist School in Nottingham City Centre.

You will be instrumental in the kitchen by serving snacks and lunch to 83 pupils in our specialist school that encompasses primary to secondary aged students.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To serve breakfast, cold snack and hot lunch under the direction of the Head Cook.
• Duties include serving cold snack and hot lunches.
• setting up dining hall for lunch,
• making up food boxes to spec under the direction of the Head Cook,
• pot washing,
• prepping food under the direction of the Head Cook
• setting up cold counter to spec under the direction of the Head Cook,
• supporting Teacher’s requirements for their students on an ad hoc basis,
• setting up food trolley, understanding and exercising portion control when serving.
• To complete all duties and tasks to the best of your abilities.
• To ensure that the preparation, presentation and service are carried out to comply with the required standards.

• To observe hygiene and safety rules and staff professional standards/code of conduct and to ensure at all times they are adhered to by all members of staff within your team.
