We are looking for Support Workers and Waking Night Officers to develop their skills to specialise in autism.
Ravenshead Respite is a bespoke service set in the picturesque Hidden Valleys area of Nottinghamshire. Service users come from around the East Midlands from their family homes for short break stays throughout the month, or stay with us for a longer period of time whilst they transition into a permanent community placement. It is a small service made up of 3 independent living spaces which allows us to cater for service users’ needs in a very personal and person centred approach.
Service users and staff work together on an individual basis to plan activities to support service users with their independence and social and emotional well-being. This could include activities in the service such as arts and crafts, cooking, cleaning and gardening but also extends out into activities in the community.
Our staff are required to be flexible in their working approach and be confident in their own skills and ability to provide a high quality service to all service users who access our service. Our service comprises of a small but hard working and dedicated team that are able to work independently but join together as a team to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

- Maintain and develop their independence
We offer an extensive training program and can support you in gaining your care certificate and NVQ qualifications.
- Driver (essential)
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Have or be willing to work towards an NVQ in Health and Social Care
- Strong oral and written skills for report writing
- Good IT skills
- Understanding of CQC/ Transforming Care Agenda
- Ability to work mornings, evenings and complete sleep ins for the service
- Confident at working independently
