Autism awareness

Autism awareness training takes participants through an introduction to autism, allowing individuals who have little experience or no formal accredited training the opportunity to learn about autism.

This two-hour workshop is aimed at anyone wanting an introductory awareness of the autism spectrum.

Participants will gain:

• An awareness of autism, prevalence and the diagnostic process, including issues around the recognition of adults and women and girls with autism
• Understand more about how autistic people see the world and how they communicate.
• Sensory issues and promoting autism friendly environments.
• Strategies to support emotional wellbeing.
