South Lodge welcomes good CQC rating

CQC South Lodge

The team at Autism East Midland’s South Lodge service have welcomed a report from the Care Quality Commission that has rated the Retford service as an overall GOOD.

Following a visit by the independent regulator, the CQC reported: ‘People were supported by staff who understood best practice in relation to the wide range of strengths, impairments or sensitivities people with a learning disability and/or autistic people may have. This meant people received compassionate and empowering care that was tailored to their needs. Staff knew and understood people well and were responsive, supporting their aspirations to live a quality life of their choosing.’

Sophie Jones, manager at South Lodge, said: ”We warmly welcomed CQC as part of a two-day inspection regime. It was a very proud moment to be recognised for the good care and practice our team deliver to our service users. The team is brilliant and we are excited for the future successes we can achieve. We will continue to put our service users at the heart of everything.”
