Assistant Psychologist

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working, committed and person centred Assistant Psychologist to join the Adult Clinical Team, which is based in Creswell, Nottinghamshire. Under the supervision of an experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist, you will have a key role in providing psychological assessment, formulation and interventions to autistic individuals who who use Autism East Midlands’ residential, day and respite services. The majority of our service users also have an intellectual disability and associated communication impairments; with some also presenting with additional complex needs such as attachment difficulties and mental health issues. You will work closely with the staff teams who support them, particularly in understanding and supporting service users who engage in behaviours of concern, using a Positive Behaviour Support framework. In addition, you will be involved in teaching, training and service related evaluations. There will be opportunities for collaborative working with our colleagues in local NHS services.

Administration Officer – Elizabeth Newson Centre

Here at Autism East Midlands, we are seeking to recruit an administration officer to work as part of the Clinical Team at the Elizabeth Newson Centre in Nottingham. The centre provides a diagnostic and psychological assessment service for children with complex social communication difficulties and autism spectrum conditions.

Managed by the Lead Clinical Psychologist, as administration officer, you’ll play a key part in supporting the psychologists to provide a service to individuals referred to the centre and to support the families and individuals throughout the process. We are a small team who work closely together and strive to create a friendly working environment. Our work is values-led, and we aim to be compassionate and strengths-oriented.
