Autism and Schools Parent Workshop
We look at what the potential difficulties may be for a child or young person in the school environment, and what the school system can do to help with this.
We explore what the role of a SENCO is, and what responsibility schools have to support out children.
We look at what the process looks like for staff to monitor an autistic child and work out how best to support them and make reasonable adjustments, and also some hints and tips for parents around attending school meetings.
We look at exclusions and EHCPs, before a quick overview of home schooling as well.
