September 3, 2025
Ben is running the London Marathon 2026 and this is his story.
The London Marathon is an annual Marathon held in London, England, covering a staggering 26.2 miles, the route takes in some of London's most iconic landmarks, such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and many more. People turn up in their thousands to support the runners.
Ben gives his story below:
Let me introduce you to my incredible sons, Billy and Jude.
Billy is 8 years old, and from an early age, we noticed he was different to the other children.
His interests were unlike those of other children.
At age 4, Billy was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Global Developmental Delay. Since then, he’s made remarkable progress, but life hasn’t been without its issues. Billy’s main issues include:
- Echolalia (repetition of phrases)
- Difficulties with toileting
- Picky eating

Then along came Jude!

Jude is 2 years old and showed difficulties much earlier than Billy. He is already going through the process towards a diagnosis. His main characteristics are
- Purposefully banging his head
- Non-Verbal or communicating
- Picky eating
- No interests in toys
The same as Billy, We are going to try everything we can to find the support Jude needs.
My beautiful boys are the reason why I am going to be taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon in 2026.
My aim is to raise £1,500 for Autism East Midlands.
Your help with any donation towards this amazing cause would be appreciated.
