Sherwood celebrates summer with strawberry picking

- Article
June 16, 2025
Our Sherwood Centre service users recently planned a trip to School Farm in Retford.
We all had a lovely time, with the people we support picking their own strawberries and then some getting some drinks and ice creams in the cafe.
We were glad to enjoy some of the gorgeous weather, and many of our service users got to experience the fruits of their labour in choosing what they wanted to pick and eating them afterwards.
Sherwood Centre is just one of our day services where we support and encourage independence and choice, letting each service user engage in activities as much or as little as they like, and choosing for themselves how they wish to spend their day.
