Nottingham's Fairview and Lynton services threw open their garden for a day of celebrations to mark the coronation of King Charles III.

It was a right royal occasion as the newly refurbished garden was decked out with union flags and bunting and guests were welcomed for the small gathering. What's more, the weather remained fine for the planned barbecue and outdoor feast.

It was just one of many activities organised by the charity across the East Midlands. Over at at the Sherwood Centre in Mansfield a whole range of coronation themed activities was planned in the lead-up to the big weekend. This included a day of crafts and an afternoon spent enjoying party food.

Over at Nottingham's Hamilton Day Service people crafted royal-themed decorations and decked out the centre with bunting. Meanwhile, Newark Family Support Hub hosted a special day of coronation-themed activities for youngsters and Derbyshire's Poplars service organised a tea party.

AEM's Hill Top supported living service at Bolsover also held its own afternoon tea party (pictured below) to celebrate the historic occasion in style.
