Employment services
We help adults who have a formal diagnosis of autism or are actively seeking a diagnosis.
We do this by offering:
- Employability support - to help people find jobs or volunteer roles. We help create CVs and cover letters and find work placed experience with employers.
- Intensive support – breaking down barriers to employment so that people can find work.
- In-work support – to help people stay in work. We want you find a job you will love, not just any job.
We draw on our experience working with job centres, other education or health providers, and employers to enable people achieve their goals.
The employment team also support our day service users to reach their employment goals.
If you think you could benefit from our services, please complete our Referral Form and return it by email to: employment@aem.org.uk

The Employment Team assisted me in getting a work experience opportunity at Bassetlaw Hospital. I was able to use this opportunity to work out what I wanted in my career. I realised then that what I really wanted to do was work in the computer game industry and the coaches helped me to find roles in this area.
I was also assisted to tailor my CV to show my strengths and knowledge as well as interview techniques which led to me getting a position as a games’ tester. I feel like this is an area I will continue to progress in and I'm grateful to the employment coaches for all of their help.
