Our favourite week of the year is back, and we are hoping that 2019’s World Autism Awareness Week will be bigger and better than ever before as we raise invaluable awareness of autism across the East Midlands. World Autism Awareness Week is a huge part of helping us work towards our vision of creating a world which recognises, understands and values autistic people. So join us this World Autism Awareness Week and join in the fun to raise some much-needed funds and awareness in your school, workplace or organisation.
How can you get involved?
Join us for #SillySockDay: By donning your most ridiculous socks on Friday 5th April you, your workplace or your School can help support autistic individuals across the East Midlands by raising funds and awareness. We’d love to see what you get up to, so be sure to share images of your fetching footwear on social media! You can do this by using #SillySockDay and tagging us in your post. Fundraise your own way: Got a great fundraising idea? Why not get in touch and we can help you to make that idea a reality. We will support you to not only raise invaluable funds for Autism East Midlands but also help you to create wonderful memories in the process. Fundraise in your School or Workplace: Gather your friends or colleagues together have fun and raise invaluable funds as well as awareness of autism. Fun and creative ideas are always welcome and our fundraising team can help to maximise your fun and educate all involved along the way.
Sign up for one of our Free Workshops: During World Autism Awareness Week we will be hosting a number of free to attend workshops and sessions across the East Midlands. These sessions will take place in Derby on the 1st April, Leicester on the 2nd April, Nottingham on the 3rd April and Rotherham on the 4th April.
