Autism East Midlands is delighted to announce that award winning writer, poet, TV and Film producer Henry Normal will be hosting our 50th Anniversary celebratory ball, on 20th October 2018.
Henry, who was honoured with a special BAFTA for services to Television in June 2017 co-founded Baby Cow Productions Ltd in 1999 along with Steve Coogan. Henry Executive Produced all, and script edited many of the shows of its seventeen and a half year output during his tenure as MD. Wonderful shows came out of Baby Cow Productions Ltd during his tenure and this included: Philomena, Gavin and Stacey, Moone Boy, Uncle , Marion and Geof, The Mighty Boosh, Red Dwarf, Camping and Alan Partridge.
Since retiring from Baby Cow Productions, in April 2016, Henry has written and performed two BBC Radio 4 shows “a nor-mal family’ and ‘a normal life’ combining comedy, poetry and stories about bringing up his autistic son. He has also written a book along with his wife on Autism ‘a normal family’ drawing on his family experience.
