Tall Trees Day Service Flexible Support Workers

Fancy a new challenge within one of our ever developing service? Come and work with us at Tall Trees in Nottinghamshire. We are looking for Flexible Support Workers to develop their skills to specialise in autism.

Tall Trees is a bespoke service set in the Quaint town of Retford. Service users come from around the East Midlands from their family homes and supported accommodation. Service users and staff work together on an individual basis as well as part of a team to plan activities to support service users with their independence and social and emotional well-being. This could include activities in the service such as creative work through art and sensory, living skills such as cooking and organisation and gardening, but also extends out into activities in the community such as employability opportunities.

Most importantly we aim to facilitate person centred, meaningful activities and sessions to fulfil outcome based practice. What better reward than to end your working day knowing you’ve committed to making a real difference to someone else’s life?

Our staff are required to be flexible in their working approach and be confident in their own skills and ability to provide a high quality service to all service users who access our service. Our service comprises hard working and dedicated team that are able to work independently but join together as a team to ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.

Working for us means you will be offering Tailored support packages to autistic individuals. You will need to be able to offer person-centred support to enable individuals to:

  • Have the maximum choice and control over their lives.
  • Progress towards their goals and outcomes
  • Maintain and develop their independence

We offer an extensive training program and can support you in gaining your care certificate and NVQ qualifications.

Desired Attributes:

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have or be willing to work towards an NVQ in Health and Social Care
  • Good IT skills
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Confident at working independently

We are looking for full time (37 hours a week)

25 days holiday + bank holidays, paid DBS and comprehensive training and fully paid induction.
