We are looking for individuals with an undergraduate degree or equivalent who also have a teaching qualification. The individuals should have a commitment to their own continuing professional development and have an interest in working with people with an autism spectrum condition.
£12.31 per hour / Casual role (zero hours contract) – our office is located in Creswell, Notts. but we are looking for mentors to work across Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire including Leicester, Loughborough and Nottingham.
We require specialist tutors to offer one to one support and specialist mentoring in Study Skills to students with an autistic spectrum condition and that have Study Skills support recommended in their Disabled Student’s Allowance (DSA) package. This is to encourage independence in learning and promote an exceptional student experience. The support offered is student-centred and designed around individual academic needs.
Your role will be to support student mentees in developing communication and social interaction skills with peers, course tutors and other staff and to support them at critical times such as transition to higher education, assessment periods and other times of high demand or pressure.
