We are currently recruiting Speech and Language Therapists to provide specialist support to our Adult services. The posts are based in the Clinical Team office at Autism East Midlands’ Headquarters in Creswell, Nottinghamshire. Our Clinical Team provides support to AEM’s Residential, Supported Living, Day & Respite services, which are based across Bassetlaw, Nottinghamshire, & North East Derbyshire; plus a newly developed Supported Living service in Northampton. The posts will involve some travelling, so a clean driving license is essential. Salary dependent on experience.
We are looking for highly motivated, empathetic, creative and person centred Speech and Language Therapists. Experience of working in Health or Social Care settings with people who have Autism, Intellectual Disabilities and complex needs, would be beneficial. Above all, we are seeking therapists who have a genuine commitment to ensuring that our service users’ communication needs are addressed, and that they are enabled to have a voice, regardless of their complexity of need.
The Speech and Language Therapist Team focuses on providing communication support for a range of adult Day, Residential, Supported Living and Respite services. This includes assessment of communication needs, providing interventions, writing guidance, providing resources, offering advice and supporting staff training. Our aim is to empower our service users and services through collaborative MDT working. Our Clinical Team includes Speech and Language Therapists, a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Psychology Assistants, and the Head of Autism Practice Development.
