We are looking for an empathic, creative and skilled speech and language therapist with relevent experience working with children and young people with autism and learning disabilities to join the clinical team in our Childrens service. We can offer you MDT and integrated service models of practice in a highly regarded and skilled team, CPD, and regular supervision.
Salary: AFC Band 6 Equivalent salary (pro rata)
Hours of Work: Permanent (Part-time 0.8 wte)
Annual Leave: 30 days per annual leave (pro rata)
Children’s Services Vacancy (0.8 wte/flexible/term time/annualised hours working options)
You will be providing speech therapy support as part of an integrated clinical team based on site at Sutherland House School (4-19 years). Working closely with the school staff team and parents/carers this post involves meeting EHCP requirements through assessment of communication needs, provision of a range of intervention programmes for a small caseload, and supporting training in a range of topics associated with learning, communication and autism. This post is ideally suited to someone who has some experience of evidence based practice in supporting children and young people with autism and learning disabilities in specialist education settings and is looking to further develop their knowledge and skills.
