We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Educational Psychologist to work as part of the Therapeutic and Psychology Service within our Children’s and Young People’s Service at Sutherland House School, Nottingham.
The Therapeutic and Psychology Service currently includes Speech Therapy, Educational Psychology including Psychology Assistants and Occupational Therapy. The team is an established, supportive, friendly and highly valued service within the school. Professional and Clinical supervision is integral to our approach. We are looking for an experienced, creative and skilled psychologist, with relevant experience working with children and young people with Autism and learning disabilities. Roles and responsibilities include leading the multidisciplinary complex needs panel and the school’s response to promoting the emotional well-being for children and young people in school, working collaboratively to provide effective interventions, consultation and support for the children, young people, their families/carers and staff as well as providing supervision for the assistant psychologists’ work in school.
As well as formal supervision and CPD there are opportunities to work with colleagues across the wider Therapeutic and Psychology Team, including supporting strategic development across the organisation.
The Elizabeth Newson Centre sits within Sutherland House School and there will be opportunities for working collaboratively with the staff in the Centre and the option to contribute to the diagnostic and assessment process as an addition to role as and when required.

Salary: Salary in line with AFC Band 8 (Soulbury B) Equivalent
Hours of Work: Permanent Part-time 0.4 wte*
Annual Leave: 30 days per annual leave (pro rata)
The post will involve travel between other sites within the organisation therefore it is essential that you are able to legally drive in the UK and have access to your own vehicle or use of a vehicle with full business use insurance cover.
