As part of Autism East Midlands registered charity, Sutherland House School is a vibrant special school which supports children and young people aged 4 to19 years with a diagnosis of autism and complex needs. Placed from local authorities across the region and our school is registered for 94 children.

Salary: circa £65,000 per annum

As a motivational and inspirational leader; you will communicate a shared vision; ethos and strategic plan that inspire and engages all stakeholders; school staff and multi disciplinary teams to work collaboratively in support of a culture and curriculum that is ambitious and aspirational for our children.
Based at our site on Bath Street, located in the creative quarter of Nottingham City Centre, the school works to provide children and young people with an education that prepares them for a successful transition to a fulfilling and rewarding adulthood. Working collaboratively with in-house teams of teaching staff, speech and language therapists, and psychologists; we offer you the opportunity to shape their future; to develop an outstanding education and a curriculum that is ambitious and aspirational for our students.
We are looking for someone who can lead and motivate our staff and students. Leading from the front; you will support and inspire staff at a time of growth and transformation. With a proven track record of achievement excellent communication skills you will work in partnership with commissioners, parents and carers’ as well as local authorities. Your proven experience of supporting a Governing Body and working with inspectors and other statutory bodies in support of continuous improvement is essential.
