Autism East Midlands are seeking an Employment Services Manager to be based at our Head Office in Creswell, Worksop, Notts. For further details click on the above job title.
Salary: £21,717 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
The job role will be to actively manage Employment Services delivery for Autism East Midlands and to deliver any contractual requirements from external organisations within the area of work. This will include, but is not limited to, the delivery of services sometimes with partners, delivering employment, mentoring and support and training services to people with autism.
To be proactive in leading and developing services that respond to the needs of service users such as the creation of job opportunities in the open market, Social Enterprises and self employment opportunities, education support, training, mentoring and preventative support, ensuring that the services are person-centred, relevant, co-produced and have a clear pathway for progress to independence, work and qualifications.
This post will have an impact through improving the lives of the people with autism, increasing income and reducing reliance on state benefit and services, such as day care services, direct payment, etc., increasing a feeling of self worth and purpose, increasing social opportunities, improving family, friends and carer relationships, improving skills such as literacy, numeracy, customer service, independent travel and timeliness and vocational skills which could be transferrable to home life such as food preparation or cleaning.
The post holder will be expected to exercise a high degree of professional autonomy and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
