A brave team from “Taylor Wimpey East Midlands” took on the gruelling ‘Taylor Wimpey Challenge‘ last weekend. The demanding two day challenge saw the team take on the Snowdon Monster Challenge; Team Leader – Jack McCallum (Technical), Rhys Williams (Commercial), Ralph Cutting (Customer Services), Luke Stevens, Stacey Tilley (Sales), Iain Pay (MD), decided to take on this challenge in order to raise funds for Autism East Midlands as well as the Youth Adventure Trust.

The challenge saw the team tackle a hike on day one of 28.4km with a 1,985m ascent and then a 39.7km bike on day two which had a 1,120m ascent.

A very though few days away in North Wales, that had its up and downs physically and mentally. The walks and bike rides were completed in a mix of weather but we all had fun and more importantly helped raised cash for our chosen charities. On a high note our team “Chafing the Dream 1” were the winners in our category, completing the walk and bike ride in a total time of 13:50:42.” (Rhys Williams)

Despite the ups and downs the team has managed to raise £1477.13 each for Autism East Midlands and the Youth Adventure Trust. Autism East Midlands are extremely grateful for the teams’ generosity and support, and would like to say a huge well done on topping the charts during the event!
