Due to the Coronavirus situation, Autism East Midlands had to cancel Silly Sock day 2020, which was due to take place at the end of Autism Awareness Week in early April.
At this time, many of our partners were coming to grips with working from home, and adapting to the new pattern of life we have known for the last few weeks.
The cancellation of the event has been painful – we have lost much-needed income from the day, which would be used to support those who access our services throughout this crisis – some of the most vulnerable in society.
The good news is that you can still help, as we invite you to join us in taking part in our virtual #SillySockDay – anytime up to (and including) Thursday May 28th, when we will feature your best efforts on our social media pages.
So, dig out those silly socks from the back of the drawer – and get your friends, family and coworkers involved in making a difference!
How to get involved
1. Wear your silliest socks
2. Take a photo and share on social media
