On the Monday 30th September eight students from Sutherland House School competed in a Cross Country Relay around Colwick Country Park. The distance of each lap was 1km with the route taking in views of the River Trent and Colwick Lake.

Eleven other schools completed in the event from across Nottinghamshire. The students from Sutherland House School wore red vests and ran with familiar staff. Around the route were volunteers and students helping the runners keep to the correct tracks and trails. The last runner wore a yellow vest to distinguish themselves as the last from that team/school. Out of the twelve schools competing Sutherland House School came an amazing 3rd place! All of the students were rewarded for their efforts with a Bronze engraved medal from Nottingham Active.

The effort and determination displayed by the students made all the staff very proud and honoured to have shared this unique sporting occasion with them.
