Autism East Midlands would like to officially announce the opening of the new Sutherland House School on Bath Street, Nottingham City Centre.

The Bath Street School site is currently undergoing a ?600K renovation project, to update and develop the current building ready for the doors to open in January 2016.

The new site will carry the respected name of the Sutherland House School and will provide a specialist day school for pupils and students with autism between the ages of 3 and 19 years old. Pupils who currently attend the school do soon a daily basis and are placed with Autism East Midlands by Local Authorities throughout the East Midlands, currently across 5 separate sites. The Bath Street site will provide one school space for the charity to service the needs of children and young adults from across the East Midlands.

The school will provide a safe and happy environment for children and young adults with autism and will support learning and development through additional site assets which include a gym, training kitchens, art space, under cover play areas, and specialist play based learning spaces.
