Autism East Midlands has been distributing Autism Cards to our service users who may find it difficult to wear a face covering during the pandemic.
Autistic individuals may experience challenges when wearing a face mask, which may be due to barriers in communication, sensory aspects, changes in social interactions or not being able to wear one safely. There are exemptions to the new rules for children under 11, those with disabilities or certain health conditions.
