We are really excited to present a refocused set of training opportunities. Our high quality training programmes have been designed to provide knowledge and skills and are specifically designed to support all those who have involvement with people who have an autism spectrum condition. We also provide opportunities for continuing professional development.

The Learning & Development Team have been working with some fantastic partners, training their employees and also developing environments to make workplaces more autism friendly:

“It’s really important that our centres are comfortable environments for all of our customers. Our valuable partnership with Autism East Midlands has helped us to raise awareness of autism within our teams and is enabling us to continuously develop our centre environments for everyone.”- Nigel Wheatley, General Manager for intu in Nottingham.

“We’ve worked with Autism East Midlands to improve the services we provide for children and young people with autism. Autism East Midlands has helped us along the way; they worked with staff and parents to design the All About Me patient passport which is now available for all families to use, they’ve delivered exceptional training on basic autism awareness, and they trained our first cohort of Autism Champions in the Children’s Hospital. They continue to advise us and we hope to work with them further to find ways to make our physical environment more autism-friendly”- Liz James, Modern Matron at Leicester Children’s Hospital.
