Getting involved by becoming a volunteer is one of the most rewarding things you can do.
Autism East Midlands is the largest specialist autism charity in the East Midlands and has been supporting people affected by autism for more than 45 years. Although we employ around 450 staff, volunteers enhance and complement our services.
Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund, we are pleased to announce the first phase of an exciting new three year project to deliver support to over 600 families in the region through the establishment of a series of Autism Family Support Hubs. The Hubs will provide a regular meeting point for families affected by autism, where they can access activities for children, as well as offer support, specialist training and advice for the parents and carers that attend.
We are now looking to recruit Volunteers at these Hubs to support the Locality Hub Co-ordinators in delivering these new services in several areas in the East Midlands.
If you have experience or would like to gain experience in delivering services that support families and children with autism and you would like to volunteer flexibly, this may be the role for you. The post offers the opportunity to be involved at the beginning of this exciting project.
We also require volunteers at our two Enterprise for Autism projects in both Worksop and Mansfield Woodhouse. Working directly with service users and supporting them to achieve their goals and find work opportunities. You will receive a full induction and training for your role. Money can be reimbursed for travel and out of pocket expenses.
If you are interested in volunteering for either of these roles, or if have skills you feel would be useful to our organisation we should be delighted to hear from you. Please call 01909 506678 or complete this application form.
